Using Set Backorder

All part replacement lines in a repair order workfile can be marked as backordered. A backorder can be placed on a part line that is also included in a parts document. Alternately, use the Remove Backorder option on a backordered part. Parts with backorder status also appear in the Parts Dashboard.

To set a backorder on a part line

1. Open the repair order workfile.
2. Select the Parts tab, and then select By RO Lines from the Views pane.
3. Select the part line, and then select Set Backorder from the mini-toolbar.

Note: Use the Remove Backorder option on a part line that is set to backordered.
